CDL A – Regional Truck Driver

$1000 Transition SIGN ON BONUS payable at first full pay cycle.
Earn up to $28 per hour that includes ALL on-duty hours.
Santa Barbara Freight is looking for company drivers to join our team.

This driver position can take the driver from our main terminal in Carrollton, TX, down through LA. and MS., OK., or delivering into FL then grabbing a return load in GA and back to Carrollton, or it can have you run loaded trailers out to Albuquerque or over to Georgia or New Jersey to transfer loads with other drivers. can be linehaul or some touch freight. The routes can vary but the consistency is the same, can have the driver out up to 3 to 5 days at a time (it is ok, we have nice sleeper trucks) with reset’s home no less than weekly and typically by the weekend.

We are a logistics company that primarily moves uniformed palletized refrigerated freight, moving freight from coast to coast and most points in-between. Our company has two main terminals; Paso Robles, CA and Carrollton, TX., our lanes are well worn, comfortable and predictable. Work is stable, consistent, and year-round, can be flexible with no sitting days unless the driver wants to.
The company fleet consists of highly maintained tractors pulling 53′ refrigerated trailers.

Minimum Driver requirements:

• At least 2 years Class A commercial driving experience within the last 4 years
• Valid current commercial Class A driver’s license
• MVR the reflects reasonable compliance of DOT regulations for insurance purposes
• Current DOT physical card

Driver Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip both truck & trailer to ensure assets are in safe working order and to receive preventative maintenance on time.
• Ensure freight bill accuracy, complete notations and trip documents processed timely.
• Ensure truck/trailer & freight are secure, temperature set accordingly, and properly loaded
• Compliant and accurate ELD’s
• Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) and company policies and procedures
• Maintain truck/trailer daily (removal of trash & waste, clean windows)
