CDL A – OTR DRIVER – Home Weekly
Paid for all miles – loaded and empty, depending on lane and experience.

Santa Barbara Freight is looking for professional company drivers to join our team.
We are a logistics company that primarily moves uniformed palletized refrigerated freight from coast to coast, and most points in-between.
Our lanes are well worn, comfortable and predictable. Work is stable and consistent, year-round, with plenty of miles and no sitting days. Our company has several terminals and meet points throughout the US. Our drivers average 3,500 – 3,700 miles per week. Lanes and routes can be consistent, or they can vary depending on the wants and needs of our drivers and our freight, can be line haul, meets and some touch freight. Our OTR drivers enjoy resets at home weekly.
The company fleet consists of highly maintained tractors pulling 53′ refrigerated trailers.

Class A CDL Driver Requirements
- At least 2 years Class A commercial driving experience consecutively within the last 4 years.
- Valid Class A CDL driver’s license.
- Current DOT physical card.
- Clean MVR.
- Ability to physically twist, bend and lift up to 50lbs repetitively, use manual and electric pallet jacks to load and unload freight. Mostly palletized freight, minimal hand stacking/restacking.
Class A CDL Driver Responsibilities
- Pre-trip both truck & trailer to ensure vehicle is in safe working order and to receive preventative maintenance on time.
- Ensure freight bill accuracy, complete notations and trip documents processed timely.
- Ensure truck/trailer & freight are secure, temperature set accordingly, and loaded properly.
- Compliant and accurate ELD’s
- Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain truck/trailer daily (removal of trash & waste, clean windows)
